About holiday club

If your child has previously attended our Holiday Club, simply log into your Kinderm8 Family Lounge App and request the days you require.

If your child is new to Mimosa Kids Holiday Club, please complete an enrolment form and we will send you a Kinderm8 Family Lounge invite so you can book your Holiday Club days.

At Mimosa Kids Holiday Club our aim is to provide primary school aged children with a wide range of valuable and enjoyable leisure experiences, using a variety of age appropriate centre-based activities, sports and external adventures. Children can create, explore, socialise or simply relax in a safe and supervised environment. During our Holiday Club we offer incursions such as go-carting, water slides, archery, camping, woodwork, animal encounters, arts & crafts, First Nation learning, visits to the local community and various entertainers. We also include excursions to local restaurants, local beaches and parks including Centennial Park, Museums, cinemas, community kitchens, fruit picking, gardens such as the Botanical Gardens and much much more!

*Permission Slips for Excursions must be signed on the day of the activity.

Please check in with our Educators upon your child’s arrival to ensure permission forms are signed.

Children are unable to attend excursions without signed consent.

Routines

Flexible routines are created to ensure the children get the best out of their daily experiences, and adjusted to the dynamics of the day

7am MOOSH Opens

7am-8am Breakfast Children are encouraged to wash their hands before and after brekkie.

7am-8:45am Planned & spontaneous play in the indoor and outdoor learning environments.

8:45-9:15am Tidy up, roll call, day plan discussed with children. (Safety discussions are conducted at this time for incursions and excursions).

9:15-9:45am Morning tea

9:45am-12:30 Children engage in main experience, teamed with the theme of the day or incursion/excursion *excursion times will vary in regards to departure and returning

12:30-1:30 Lunch

1:30 – 3pm Chill out time
(Children have the opportunity to recharge themselves for the afternoon and engage in quiet activities). This can be either indoors or out depending on what the children decide is best for them.(During this time, we may also can run a movie or short film).

3pm-3:30 Afternoon Tea

3:30-5:15 Planned & spontaneous play in our outdoor (weather permitted) learning environment

5:15-5:55pm Wind down time

5:55pm Last pick up

6pm MOOSH Closed.

Our Menu

During Holiday Club we provide breakfast and afternoon tea. The children are asked to bring their own healthy and nutrious morning tea and lunch. We also ask the children bring their own drink bottle.

As a School Aged Education and Care Service, we are required to meet the 2013 Australian Dietary Guidelines. These guidelines provide us with the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating Model, as well as the required number of serves of each food recommended group, per day.
When assembling our menu, we not only follow the 2013 Australian Dietary Guidelines, but are also guided by Get Up & Grow: Healthy Eating Guidelines and the National
Quality Framework: Quality Area 2 Children’s Health & Safety. Our children and families also have a large say in what we have on our menus, as they share their favourite healthy meals from home.

Our Fees

Mimosa Kids is fully licensed and accredited which means we are able to provide you with the Child Care Subsidy if you are entitled. For more information on how to register for the Child Care Subsidy please contact the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) or visit the Services Australia website.

Current fees as of 15th November 2024:

$72 per day plus additional costs for incursions and excursions.
