Mimosa Kids started out with Mimosa Children’s Centre and grew to incorporate an out of school hours service for primary aged children. In 2011 a Holiday Club (Vacation Care) was created to provide services for primary aged children during school holidays. Since 2013 we have been known as Mimosa Kids and are registered under the name of Under Sixes Pty. Ltd. Our services include a 58 place long day care service, a 100 place out of school hours service and vacation care club.
Mimosa Kids services are fully licensed and accredited which means we are able to provide you with the Child Care Subsidy if you are entitled. Our Preschool and Early Learning Centre open hours are from 7.30am – 6.00pm. Our centre provides a high quality educational program for children from 18 months – 5 years of age.Our centre is divided into three different age groups. This allows the children in our care to explore their interests and the world around them through developmentally age appropriate experiences. The two outdoor playgrounds allow different age groups and sibling’s time to play together, whilst also having the space for individual age groups to explore. To have your child’s name added to the waitlist please call 02 9453 1162. Our nutritional meals are all cooked onsite. We provide all meals, including Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and a late snack. Our trained cooks are able to accommodate all meals to suit many allergies and intolerances.
Our Centre provides food that meets 50% of the recommended daily requirements of each child. At meal times we provide milk or water for your child to drink. Lunch can be a variety of foods with the emphasis being on the preparation of fresh food not pre-packaged, e.g. we may have a stir-fry, baked dinner or spaghetti bolognaise etc. We also offer a ‘second lunch’ option for those children who do not eat the hot lunch, this is often a platter with bread, ham, cheese & fruit.
The weekly menu is displayed for all families throughout the centre, this is so families can see what we serve and adjust their evening meals (or you can view our current menu here! (Summer Menu 2018) If you have a favourite recipe let us know we are always looking for new recipes to incorporate into our cookbook. Our Centre supports a Nut Free and Sesame Free zone; therefore we encourage no food to be brought into the centre accept for birthdays and cultural events.
